It was her first time moderating, and she was terrified. With only a few days to prepare, most of the session was impromptu. Yet when she stepped on stage, the warmth of the panelists made it feel like a genuine conversation — she ended up enjoying every minute.
Reflecting on her experience, she said:
“RE:CREATE 2025 challenged me, pushed me out of my comfort zone, and taught me the value of teamwork and trust. I’m incredibly grateful to Architects of Life for showing me that even without experience, passion and perseverance can take you far.”
RE:CREATE was more than a festival; it was a safe community where youth were encouraged to make mistakes, try again, and grow stronger together. Architects of Life is proud to have supported youths who stepped up with courage and heart. RE:CREATE 2025 was a powerful reminder that when young people find their voice and support each other, they can truly shape bold and meaningful futures.
Among the dedicated team helping bring this endeavour to life was Chong Yun Han, 16, founder of Project My Voice and an integral member of Architects of Life’s planning committee. Though new to event planning, Yunhan took on her responsibilities with passion and grit.
“When I first got the offer to join the RE:CREATE planning team, I was honestly overwhelmed. I’d never planned an event before, especially something this big. But I learned that some of the best growth happens when you step outside what’s familiar,” Yunhan shared.
Balancing her year-end exams with important tasks such as drafting programme briefs for VIP guests and coordinating panel logistics stretched her in new ways.
Days before the event, Yunhan was unexpectedly asked to step in as the moderator for Panel 2, titled "The Frontlines of Change." This dynamic panel focused on amplifying the voices of young changemakers and community leaders who are at the forefront of addressing urgent social issues such as mental health, social inequality, and youth empowerment. Panelists shared authentic stories of resilience, challenges, and breakthrough experiences in their grassroots work. They explored how community-driven initiatives can spark systemic change and highlighted practical strategies for mobilizing collective action.
