A private evening built around stories of resilience, rehabilitation, and redemption — a 20-minute documentary, followed by a LIVE Human Library where you can hear from ex-offenders, ask questions, and have real conversations about their journeys.
This is an evening about second chances, told through a real story. Testing Waters follows a saturation diver who once had a criminal record and now works one of the world's most extreme professions, hundreds of metres underwater.
But it isn't just a film — it's an honest look at how people really recover from setbacks like that, and what it takes to rebuild.
Through the documentary and live sharing that follows, you'll hear raw stories of second chances, challenge quiet assumptions about personal growth, and discover what it truly takes to start again.

This screening is ahead of the film's public festival run.
You'll sit in on a human library, with actual ex-offenders sharing what they've lived through, in an open, unscripted conversation.
This isn't a one-way sharing session. It's a chance for everyone in the room, including you — to rethink what rehabilitation and community support can look like.
